How the Clear Aligner
Process Works

1. Consultation & Digital Scan

Your journey starts with a thorough oral examination and a digital scan (iTero® or 3Shape) to create an accurate model of your teeth. We’ll also discuss your smile goals and expectations.

2. 3D Treatment Planning

Using ClinCheck® software, a personalised digital treatment plan is created, showing the step-by-step movement of your teeth and a preview of your final smile.

3. Aligner Fabrication & Delivery

Custom aligners are made based on your plan. You’ll receive a new tray every 7–14 days, with full instructions on proper wear and care.

4. Progress Monitoring & Adjustments

Regular check-ups (monthly or bi-monthly) track your progress. If needed, refinement trays are provided to fine-tune your smile.

5. Retention & Smile Maintenance

Once treatment is complete, retainers (Essix or Vivera) are given to keep your teeth in place. Long-term retainer use is key to preserving your results.

The cost will depend on what you are hoping to achieve and how complex your treatment is. The average Invisalign cost is between £2,850 and £3,950. We are able to offer payment plans (subject to credit checks). The plans range from 10 months interest free up to 48 months.

Treatment can take from 3 months to 24 months, but it would depend on the complexity of your case. The estimated treatment time will be outlined during your assessment.

We have patients of all ages from 8 years to 60+ years having orthodontic treatment with us.

With all teeth straightening there will be some discomfort including pressure, aching and tenderness as the teeth are moving into alignment. Invisalign clear aligners will not irritate your cheeks and gums like a fixed brace can, but this can be managed with orthodontic wax and pain relief whilst your mouth is adjusting to the appliance.
